Industry veteran brings more than 30 years of professional experience to prepare business for organic growth and acquisition activity
SHREVEPORT, La. and DALLAS, Tx. (August 29, 2022) – AFS Logistics (afs.net) announces Allen R. Parrott as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Mr. Parrott has more than a dozen years in the logistics industry, including four years of experience in CFO roles, most recently at CIG Logistics. In addition, Mr. Parrott has performed fractional CFO services including startup capital raises and debt/operational restructuring of mature businesses in the logistics sector. In his role as CFO at AFS, Mr. Parrott is responsible for all direct and indirect financial activities, and oversees the company’s accounting, human resources and legal departments.

Mr. Parrott leads strategies to achieve targets for revenue, profit and growth, including preparing the business to scale both organically and through acquisitions. As the business expands, Mr. Parrott plans to focus on building fintech and other operational income streams, M&A transactions, simplifying and combining operations with financial technology, and building and rewarding team talent across the enterprise.

Mr. Parrott’s 30-plus years of professional experience includes more than 10 years at the executive leadership level. Mr. Parrott has held controller roles at Crane Worldwide Logistics and CEVA Logistics, in addition to financial roles at publicly traded global enterprises, such as Hewlett Packard and Keystone International Inc. His educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Houston at Clear Lake.
