AFS Logistics announces certification as a 2025 Most Loved Workplace

SHREVEPORT, La. (Sept. 25, 2025) – AFS Logistics announces certification as a Most Loved Workplace for 2025, the second consecutive year achieving this recognition. Each year, Most Loved Workplace®, a division of Best Practice Institute, recognizes companies that prioritize respect, caring and appreciation for their employees and, in doing so, earn the loyalty and respect of those who work for them. AFS earned certification for fostering the growth and engagement of team members through a supportive culture that puts the company’s core values in action.

“At AFS, our values of ethics, engagement and excellence are at the center of everything that we do at all levels of the organization and shine through with how we treat clients,” says Sharmen Pennington, Vice President, Human Resources, AFS Logistics. “It starts at the top with how our leadership sets a standard and engages team members throughout the organization, and it’s reflected in the initiatives we have to support professional development and encourage feedback and innovative thinking.”

AFS began a quarterly impact awards program earlier this year, designed to recognize and reward employees who demonstrate integrity, foster collaboration and strive for excellence. All employees can nominate their colleagues for these awards. Three winners are selected each quarter, all of whom receive a diamond crystal award and a bonus.

The company has several representatives from each location who are part of the Culture Council – an enthusiastic group dedicated to fostering unity and collaboration across the organization. This includes planning events and supporting new hires as they integrate into the AFS team. To support team members throughout their tenure with AFS, the company offers several programs to support professional development. These programs pay off, with AFS promoting around 18% of employees each year – almost twice the national average for companies of similar size and industry.

“We place a strong emphasis on supporting our team members so they can uphold a standard of excellence and dependability every day at AFS,” says Andy Dyer, CEO, AFS Logistics. “Maintaining a healthy, supportive workplace culture enables individuals to thrive, which in turn allows us to work as a team in support of our clients’ success.”
