A successful effort to help a western wear retailer rein in high transportation costs has just earned AFS a key industry accolade.
We’re pleased to announce that we’ve been named one of this year’s Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s Top Supply Chain Projects award winners.
The annual awards spotlight successful and innovative transformation projects that deliver bottom-line value to enterprises across a range of functions. AFS received its 2022 honor because of two initiatives (negotiating a contract with a new parcel carrier and introducing a TMS for inbound freight) that allowed the western wear retailer to reduce its parcel spend by 14% and its LTL spend by 17%.
“We’d be bleeding millions of dollars in excess freight costs if we didn’t have AFS,” the retailer’s CFO said when describing the winning project. “They do everything more efficiently than we could.”
